    Puerto Rico Recovery help!

    HELP WITH PUERTO RICO RECOVERY! A customer of mine who owns and operates 3rd and 4th Drums has put together a drum raffle to raise monies. His grandparents live on the hurricane stricken island and funds raised will go directly 100% to help with the rebuilding of both his grandparents home as well as their immediate neighbors. Each donation of $10, a small amount, will receive a chance at a drum, Realizing many may have no use for a drum, yet would like to help in the effort, the winner can donate it to a needy drum student in their name,

    To read more about the family, on going relief effort as well as donation and prize details use this link;

    I sent a little money.
    My wife's family is in Cayay. We've only heard from them twice since the hurricane. It sounds like things are getting bad for them due to no power and their medical issues. Both her parents have been in the ER in the past week due to complications. Her mom's 02 level got out of wack due to no power for CPap machines and her father's sugar levels dropped out while waiting in long lines, in the heat, for the pharmacy for med refill. They are also having issues paying for everything in cash, since their area is without power, and you can't access credit cards, and the banks have long lines. They are going out every 6-7 days for supplies and trying to find cell reception to check in with family. We're trying to get them out of there and back to the main land but there are issues with scheduling flights and reports of people being stuck in airports for days. Their house has 2 large trees on it, but with her father's health issues he can't get up there to cut them down.
    At least it's not a real catastrophe like Hurricane Katrina! (note the sarcasm)

    I talked with Edwin for a bit, same issues for his grandparents. His great grandmother lives with them as well. Aside from day to day needs, they need to get the roof repaired to keep out the rain. Thanks for the donation.
