Thanks mate. As I mentioned, it's not perfect but tuned up OK at first assembly. I'll post more photos in a couple of days when I've finished with the oil. The inside is definitely rougher! No production line here 😃 Thanks for the welcome!

The hole marks add some "real deal, no assembly line" reality to you're lovely build. I like that on the photos, your build shows very little stave section marks !!! Really nice, welcome to GN !!!! :-)

Thanks! Yeah I like them too. There's actually a little bit of nail left in one of the holes that's hidden by the hoop. I like that it gives away the salvaged wood aspect. Cheers

Thanks! Not actually super clean because of the nail holes from the source of the wood (you can see them on either side of the strainer). I haven't put a vent in it yet because of the holes :) It's a 6.5"x13" 16 staves cut on a supermarket table...

looks great! Nice and clean build! Tell me the specs on the drum: depthxdiameter; shell thickness. How did you cut the staves? Also I'd love to hear about that strainer. I've seen them but never used them.

That looks pretty nice for a first post! Nice. Sort of fun when you build one and know that it is the only one of it's kind, hand made by you sitting there in front of you while you play!! Way to go.
